Hi,

I was curious, after seeing quite a few spam posts originate from one particular instance, is there a way that I, as a user, can block instances, so that their users' posts don't appear on my feed completely?

Cheers

Roger, wilco.

I'll try to see other mobile lemmy apps too - currently using Voyager on iOS, and it doesn't have this option.

A further question Re: the reporting of spam.

If I see the spam on a community on a different instance, say, the "technology" community at beehaw.org (https://beehaw.org/c/technology), and I report spam, would you receive it, or would it go to their mods/admins only?

It will go to both. For general reports of content on another instance's community (eg a post doesn't comply with a rule, but there's nothing else really wrong with it), I just ignore them.

But for spam, I'll ban the user and remove all their posts.
