I have ~50 communities subscribed, none of them are empty, and when I use a desktop site, the subscribed feed loads fine. However when I use sync, it loads no posts and I get the message "this community has no posts" (as in the screenshot). I also have an alt account that doesn't have this problem. It kind of kills the app's usefulness for this account. I'm confused and not sure what to do about it.

To fix this I had to log out on the app, like click the little minis, and then log back in

export your settings before logging out, so you can import them back again after

im not sure this is a sync for lemmy issue, ive got like 5 diff lemmy apps on my phone and have had this happen multiple times to all of them FYI.

i suspect its a staying logged in issue and the apps not realizing they are logged out type of a thing but who knows.

Is this your own instance? When I was setting up my instance I noticed that if I was on 0.18.4-beta instead of just 0.18.4 for the backend then apps would not load my profile

nope, accounts on lemmy.ca and lemmy.world

I've noticed it happening to one of my instances but not my other. I agree with your assessment though.
