Well, given they're electric I would assume they're both set to the same speed. This does not look safe though
i dont think the waggons get accelerated ... but i might very well be wrong. i am by no means an expert on this subject matter.
I'm also no expert, but I know diesel-electric trains typically power each axle so assume it's the same

I assumed that the train could just slow down a very little bit till it touches with the car to then slow down when they touch each other but that's probably not how it works.
That sounds kind of dangerous ... i know that the train and all the waggons have springs to dampen connection impact but ... not sure how much those can take or how much the difference in speed/force of both sides can be without one pushing the other (in the worst case of the rails)
It probably is very dangerous, yeah
I am no means a train expert but that doesn't sound that dangerous, only the relative speed matters and if it was a very small difference the wagons will eventually catch up and the impact might be noticeable but not fatal. But ig the emergency brakes would be a safer option either way.
