This is one of the better cellular deals I've seen in a while. It's very very close to American cell pricing. Activated two of my family members and we're saving $30 a month now.

Is this one of those deals that you get to keep forever, or the kind where they hike up the price after a while and you have to call every year and threaten to cancel?

No, they don't touch your price. You will get grandfathered with the chance to upgrade to new plans for cheaper or free.
