Is CSPAN available to you online? If you watch it there, the call in people do not represent most of America.

Oh, lordy, does that ever need to be pointed out. I watched a coup attempt happen in real time on CSPAN, no commentary. They are great like that for live events, but avoid the call-in shows like the plague.

Alternately, tune-in for the call-in shows. Washington Journal is a fantastic, completely unbiased source of the days news. The crazy viewers (and occasional normal person) can give an unfailingly fresh perspective to all the topics in a way that the cloned talking-head types rarely do.
