Hey there,

I'm a refugee from Squabbles/Squablr.co.

I didn't care for the recent changes to the TOS nor the "free speech site" dog whistle announcement.

I really liked the lack of downvoting there, so someone suggested Beehaw.

I've been slow to give Lemmy a try. I read that the founder developer and current owner of Lemmy.ML is a "tankie" - a European communist extremist.

Is it possible with my Beehaw account to filter lemmy.ml out and is it something I want to do?

I'm not familiar with subject driven fediverse social media yet.

Happy weekend to all

So both of

https://alexandrite.app/

https://vger.app

are alternative web front ends to lemmy. The former is more desktop oriented. I don't think Voyager supports it yet but they update at a breakneck pace.

Wow! Alexandrite.App is MUCH nicer! Thanks for the tip!

You're welcome! The explosion of great alternative frontends is one of my favorite things

Can I use either of those with my BeeHaw account?

I joined BeeHaw because I don't like downvoting and content ranking.

Thanks for the URLs.

Yes! They should work with any Lemmy instance (including beehaw)

It sounds like you joined the right server, beehaw is generally considered the friendliest and best moderated server on here

The reception I am getting here is the nicest I've gotten since I left Reddit to try other platforms. It is quickly changing my impression of Lemmy.

Thank you!
