Hey Spongebob, I don't know if you're reading this but if you don't receive enough tips, your employer is legally obligated to make up the difference (at least in America, not sure where your pineapple under the sea is located).

Bikini Atoll, right? But not on the atoll, but the bottom of the sea by/in the atoll. Under the jurisdiction of the Marshal Islands. It seems the minimum wage there is USD$2 per hour, and has been that way since 1986. I found no official source but two sites agree on this.

Surely the US federal minimum wage would kick in then? Or does it not apply to overseas territories?

Marshall Islands appears to have been independent from the US since 1979, so is not a US territory.

It's still not much if you live in one of the seven states still paying the $7.25/hr federal minimum
