Yes, exactly. You act as if it's somehow illogical to use hosting outside the reach of the DMCA.

It is a hobby for most emulator developers. It is probably far too annoying for many people to sacrifice time to host everything themselves in addition to developing the emulator. Especially if Nintendo is not interested in the emulator.

I didn't write self-hosting, just outside DMCA jurisdiction. You must me have confused with somebody else.
