0. Only post socialist memes
That refers to funny image macros and means that generally videos and screenshots are not allowed. Exceptions include explicitly humorous and short videos, as well as (social media) screenshots depicting a funny situation, joke, or joke picture relating to socialist movements, theory, societal issues, or political opponents. Examples would be the classic case of humorous Tumblr or Twitter posts/threads. (and no, agitprop text does not count as a meme)
1. Socialist Unity in the form of mutual respect and good faith interactions is enforced here
Try to keep an open mind, other schools of thought may offer points of view and analyses you haven't considered yet. Also: This is not a place for the Idealism vs. Materialism or rather Anarchism vs. Marxism debate(s), for that please visit c/AnarchismVsMarxism.
2. Anti-Imperialism means recognizing capitalist states like Russia and China as such,
as well as condemning (their) imperialism, even if it is of the "anti-USA" flavor.
3. No liberalism, (right-wing) revisionism or reactionaries.
That includes so called: Social Democracy, Democratic Socialism, Dengism, Market Socialism, Patriotic Socialism, National Bolshevism, Anarcho-Capitalism etc. . Anti-Socialist people and content have no place here, as well as the variety of "Marxist"-"Leninists" seen on lemmygrad and more specifically GenZedong (actual ML's are welcome as long as they agree to the rules and don't just copy paste/larp about stuff from a hundred years ago).
4. No Bigotry.
The only dangerous minority is the rich.
5. Don't demonize previous and current socialist experiments or (leading) individuals.
We must constructively learn from their mistakes, while acknowledging their achievements and recognizing when they have strayed away from socialist principles.

6. Don't idolize/glorify previous and current socialist experiments or (leading) individuals.
Notable achievements in all spheres of society were made by various socialist/people's/democratic republics around the world. Mistakes, however, were made as well: bureaucratic castes of parasitic elites - as well as reactionary cults of personality - were established, many things were mismanaged and prejudice and bigotry sometimes replaced internationalism and progressiveness.
7. Absolutely no posts or comments meant to relativize(/apologize for), advocate, promote or defend:
- Racism
- Sexism
- Queerphobia
- Ableism
- Classism
- Rape or assault
- Genocide/ethnic cleansing or (mass) deportations
- Fascism
- (National) chauvinism
- Orientalism
- Colonialism or Imperialism (and their neo- counterparts)
- Zionism
- Religious fundamentalism of any kind

You realize this is an argument in favor of voting for Democrats, right? Real progress doesn't happen in a single day in November, but that day in November can stop things from getting worse while real progress happens elsewhere.
That’s right. People don’t realize that Democrats keep moving to the right because when they are in power they have such thin margins that you depend on votes from the likes of Manchin and Sinema.
I guess that is a take if you can't read and comprehend what is actually happening. This is showing how all you have is to go more and more fascist with every day with no let up. You can't make progress because your duopoly only ever moves right. To be clear I don't care who you vote for, your elections or anything about the shit hole Yankee empire.
Either we're doomed and voting for the Democrats does no harm, or it's possible to pull ourselves out of this spiral and voting for the Democrats could buy us the time we need to do it. I can't see the future, I don't truly know which of us is right, and even if I'm right and it is possible that doesn't necessarily mean we will succeed, but as long as there is even the tiniest shred of uncertainty then it is worth giving ourselves every possible chance. The most powerful military in the world falling fully to fascism will go global, and it will end with a death toll unlike anything the world has ever seen. I'd rather not let that happen, if I have a choice. I may not. It may be too late, but even if I wanted to run, where would I be safe from the US? There is no such place.
ok sure buddy, good luck with your rigged elections. If I were you I'd be armed to the teeth and forming a militia with like minded people or making plans to get the fuck out of there, literally anywhere, before the fascists take full control. Fascists don't care about elections it is totally a joke to them. Fascists will push the country to a crisis and seize power, like Hitler did, and Mussolini did, neither of whom won an election.
Classic USian narcissism. Literally the entire rest of the world is going to resist and we will be victorious. Luckily for us Americans are for the most part completely incompetent.
Please don't put words in my mouth. I don't believe the US is invincible or will beat the whole rest of the world or anything like that. In the end fascists always fail, because they're not actually good at running countries.
Be real though. Just because the US isn't invincible doesn't mean the US military can't choose to eradicate any one location on Earth and no one can stop them. All that air and naval power means nowhere is safe from a strike. And that's before we start talking about giving a fully fascist government access to a cartoonishly oversized nuclear arsenal. When things go badly enough for them, there is a very real chance they hit the F you button and take everyone else down with them.
Also, let's be real again, not everyone is going to be on the other side. The US has a lot of allies, and it's not the only place where fascism is on the rise. The capacity for destruction is like nothing the world has ever seen, and I especially wouldn't want to be in a place like Mexico, given the proximity and all the fascist propaganda about Mexicans.
The American system is designed to block you from changing it. So unless you are willing to run you are going to die.

Classic case of open minded, forward thinking from the mods here. Can’t take an open discussion about how to do what we all want if it even calls into question current methods. Where does that fall on some sort of political compass thing? Left-> authoritarian?

…why not? Do we not all want the same thing? If we do, discussing our tactics and a showing a little fuckin solidarity across borders are…kinda important dontcha think? But that does go to prove my original point, that this post isn’t about how to do what we all want, how to solve problems we all see. It’s about patting yourself on the back. We all need to be a little better.
You're right, I'm here to post memes about how the United States sucks. There are no answers, the US is on a terminal decline to fascism and you're the one demanding someone posting memes tell you an answer. The answer is you need to get the fuck out of that shit hole asap or die. That is what happened to my family in 1979, the ones that were fighters and stayed behind are all dead and my relatives that ran are still alive.
I actually did post a real solution to your issues if you were smart enough to read between the lines but to be honest I have to cross the border to the US pretty often for various bullshit and don't want to be detained.

I'm not being a twat to you, I'm explaining that a person posting memes for awareness doesn't necessarily have the answers. You are all so lost and blaming me for it but I don't care who you blame. I know what to do, it isn't a secret. Be useful, be prepared to run. It is too late for you to organize into a revolutionary army in the US and resist and they have robot dogs.
