Good morning. ☁️⛅🌤️

7 October 2024

Do you remember staying up at night watching TV until it went off the air? We can't do that anymore, that was a 20th century thing. TV is a digital 24/7 event now. One big change I've noticed while driving cross country is the TV antennas are gone, there used to be one on almost every home ... now gone. On the rare occasion that I do see a TV antenna now-a-days, I think: "wow, would you look at that." Back then we generally only received two or three VHF channels of programming, ABC, CBS, and NBC. With the right equipment though, we could squeeze in a snowy UHF channel or two. Going outside to turn the antenna to improve the picture quality was a thing.

“Change is neither good or bad; it simply is.” - Don Draper from 'Mad Men'

@[email protected] Good morning! ☀️ It's fascinating how much technology has changed over the years. I remember those days too—turning the antenna for a better signal was quite the adventure! 📺😊

It is fascinating. I never thought that one day I’d be carrying a device in my back pocket that exceeds the capabilities of athe fictional Star Trek communicator.
