There’s no point in debating a pathological liar, especially when a large portion of voters are easily duped and fact checking in real time is sub par and depending on the network, completely nonexistent.

It just acts as a free misinformation/propaganda mass dissemination tool

All day on Twitter the Trumpers have been foaming at the mouth trying to prove "illegals" are eating pets now in the US. Dumbasses.

Either actual room temperature IQ Trumpanzees or Russian bots. 🤖

Twitter (shitter) is a cesspool of misinformation.

Well, it is owned by Trump's wannabe propaganda minister...

The thing thats baffling about musk doing propaganda is it almost feels insulting. Like the right went from Goebbels who more or less wrote the book on propaganda, to Musk who just acts like a child on the internet. Like im glad they have degraded this badly since WW2 but still.

That's also the part I'm glad about. Not to put the Nazis on a pedestal or anything, but propaganda was something they took serious. Now it seems more like the right accidentally hits the notes their followers want to hear.

Yeah, I agree. Still feels like I was promised a fight with a grizzly bear and instead got a black bear instead. Still dangerous regardless but well, though social media is a plague apon mankind which means the average person is also more susceptible. So while not a worthy fight per se its still an annoyingly hard one.

Was just about to comment this too. They just believe it without a single bit of doubt. They're a lost cause. There is no way you can deradicalize these fuckers.

There are very efficient ways...they're not moral (debatable)

Well, according to Trump, Harris is a Marxist. Are political reeducation camps out of the question? We'll go full Maoist. Anyone caught posting such drivel has to spend a year working on a state-run farm while they receive political reeducation. 🤣

I want her to do it...the memes from this debate have been spectacular.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

The ideal situation would be for Harris to offer another debate, then for Trump to decline, then for Harris to spend the rest of the campaign taunting Trump for his cowardice. If Trump decides to actually do the debate instead it'll probably end up being a bit of a waste of time, but that would be an acceptable risk.

There are people who are definitely going to go out and vote for Harris. There are people who are definitely going to go out and vote for Trump.

The debate isn't for these people. It's for the people who are shockingly on the fence about who to vote for, and those who may not vote at all.

The more you get trump on screen being easily manipulated by Harris, the more you make him look weak which will make some of his less ardent supporters less likely to vote, while also convincing others then Harris is the more sane choice.
