You know it's kinda weird that nobody gave a shit when Arnold did this. I guess because Arnold didn't make a brand around being wholesome, except when it comes to the gym?

Has anyone been cancelled for cheating? Dave grohl sure hasn't, the worst repurcuasions I've seen for him so far are a bunch of memes and presumably a very angry wife
I would argue that Arnold kind of has a brand around being wholesome nowadays.
I think it's more the fact that all male celebrities got away with this kind of behavior and worse in the past, but more recently people have started to look back on it with a critical lens. The nature of social media amplifies that critical lens.
A few years ago I would agree with you, but honestly I think female celebs also get away with this stuff, they just didn't feel as empowered before.
Like nobody outside extremely niche Twitter spaces cared when Taylor Swift dated a 17 year old or when the owner of the Seahawks sexually harassed her bodyguards.
