  1. Yea, I've posted elsewhere here that I fear the Metro Tunnel is going to be a publicity/PR flop. So much build up and waiting for a few more stops and for many, perhaps, not much improvement to the system. Maybe many really appreciate the new infrastructure, but these results support my fear at the moment at least
  2. Metro has been saturated, so support or no support doesn't really mean much right now. That being said, post-COVID and remote work may seriously deflate its importance to many.
  3. Bus reformation ... yep ... makes a lot of sense ... the train network's center & spoke design is kinda crappy (thus the metro tunnel being perhaps misguided) and buses are the only connective tissue in the PT system that really compensates for that.
  4. Airport rail ... I get it, but personally, I've been rather happy with the Sky Bus and would happily take urban improvements first.

i’ve always kinda thought that putting trams in a loop around the rail lines would be cool… make it like a web

id prefer more trams to busses any day of the week

Cool idea! Could probably go a long way to de-car-ifying the 'burbs too.

Maybe some of those bus-tram hybrid systems instead?

The problem I have with trams is their inflexibility ... shifting a line is a bit of work because of the tracks (though they're probably more environmentally friendly)

that'd be cool but trams can't have that high of a top speed bc of their wheels optimised for sharp turns, so idk if they'd be a good replacement for the 90x series (the orbital buses)
