hm, that's not entirely right

the way IQ is tested, for a person who normally gets Einstein's estimated ~160, they'd need to have a headache approaching 10 on the pain scale to score significantly lower than usual, and mostly likely still score relatively high. There's very few circumstances where Einstein would score a 20, like the man would have to be on a hard drug cocktail, hangover, mid-flu, and starving, and by that point it could only be an estimate because there's no way in hell anybody would sit down for an up to 4h proper test to check it

spoilerI'm saying this as someone with an IQ degradation kink who took random IQ tests online with uhm, let's say a few insertable disadvantages, porn playing in the background & horny out of my mind, and I still scored max 2-3 points below the score I got during a proper WAIS assessment, it was such a turn off lmao

What? You can't reveal that about yourself and expect us to just move on. I'm not judging or anything, I just wonder how this "works" for you. Please share.

😭

if you're asking for my subjective analysis of why I have that kink here's what I've worked out:

i'm not a fan of sharing my IQ score because it feels stupid to me to be bragging about a number but it's rather above average. I've been seen as the "smart but lazy" kind of person my entire life, endless streams of "you have so much potential, if you only applied yourself!" drove me to the point where not excelling, or not being immediately good at things, or struggling with something overall makes me feel like a failure. The ever present echo of those words provides me guilt every day, even now after I figured out what's happening I can't fix it.

Nobody clocked my ADHD until I figured out I have it on my own, because ADHD kids are supposed to be bad at the whole school thing and I wasn't. (& it took 3 psychiatrists to finally find someone who understood what I was going through, the first 2 said it's probably depression and anxiety because again, I did well at school and seemingly didn't struggle at all with all the tests they gave me) The only time I was actively studying was when I attended classes, barely ever studied outside of school, never did homework, never did assigned reading - and still had good grades, "you have so much potential, if you only applied yourself!" around every corner.

That's the backstory, now why that kink gets me off? It feels freeing, it feels freeing to even if for a brief moment have no expectations whatsoever put on me, to be just a dumb horny boy not able to do anything on his own, stupid bottom who needs cuddles

spoilerand a good plowing of his holes
. It refreshing to feel like I'm just too dumb to do anything right, so I can forget for a while about all the "potential" I have and don't use.

so yeah, my "twice exceptional" ass enjoys feeling like a himbo because of gifted kid burnout. And let me tell you, a big big group of the IQ degradation kink enjoyers are like me lol

hope that was insightful lmaoo

And let me tell you, a big big group of the IQ degradation kink enjoyers are like me lol

Are there, like, more than seventeen people on earth?

I'm up with you on the whole thing, it's the specificity of an IQ tests that's unusual.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

oh I don't mean specifically taking an IQ test and masturbating hoping to get a bad score 😭 that might just be me. I basically wanted to prove to myself how stupid i get when i'm horny so i can get off on that thought but it didn't work :(

but IQ degradation in general is a relatively common kink, just look at bimbo/himbo-fication, hypno kinks or the more taboo misogyny and raceplay kinks

[–] [email protected] -1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

But also you should recognize you'd be bias to supporting the number, cause it supports you, and unless you know Einstein better than he knows himself I think you got too much confidence in your IQ kink😂

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

lmao this is why i don't share my exact IQ, I despise being judged on its basis. And additionally - no I don't support the number, in fact I don't believe IQ to be a valid scientific metric in the first place, its history is riddled with bigotry and despite best efforts it's still inherently biased and often used to discriminate various minorities. I entertain it on the same level as MBTI or astrology

but seeing as all my results were always within the 5 points margin of error from the official one I took (which is the normal margin of error for all IQ tests) it is at the very least consistent per individual - most culturally neutral IQ tests (basically all of the ones you find online) are purely logic based, and neither a headache nor active masturbation, in my personal experience lmao, diminishes one's logic skills

(also Einstein never took any IQ tests to our knowledge, every single one of the scores attributed to him today are estimates based on his lifelong work)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I guess what I mean to say is low accuracy and high precision is generally more dangerous than low accuracy and precision, and so an incorrect yet consistent answer is still and incorrect one.

That being said I'm guessing you're not one to have migraines cause fuck if I'm putting half my brainpower towards a test when I have one, much alike someone working 12 hour shifts 5 days a week won't have nearly the amount of energy Einstein did having his entire life devoted to science - IQ is much more dependent on opportunity than individuality (hence it's source of incorrectness)

On a related note I once knew a guy that could hardly close a drawer that was too full without slamming it for 5 min before leaving frustrated, he's currently going for his masters at a highly regarded university, but god damn I can tell you that man was a full blown idiot - yet having never worked a job in his life it was easy for him to use his few braincells solely for his science, thanks to the opportunities he had had.

Also something something about the Brits using standardised tests to prove native Americans were stupid when in reality they were simply used to solving problems as a collective - an objectively better way to solve a problem that makes it near impossible to measure individual merit

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

yeah I mean nobody's taking IQ tests when on drugs or hangover. Even though imo it's all smoke and mirrors most people, myself included (outside of kink ofc lol), want to score high on the test, so they won't take any mind altering substances beforehand and in case of a migrane will reschedule the test for later. It feels nice to be able to "prove" you're smart. And it wouldn't feel fair if you were to take it with a disadvantage outside of your control.

my main beef with IQ tests is that after I did my official one I started to think to myself " hang on, a lot of the skills needed to do it well on that test were taught in school" and judging someone on their performance at or ability to attend school is rather silly. What if the kid had bad luck and none of the teachers clicked for them? What if the kid has undiagnosed neurodivergence and the common method of teaching isn't working for them? What if a kid has trouble at home and can't focus well? What if a kid comes from a poor family and has to skip school to work so they can support their close ones? What if a kid has depression and no motivation to learn? There's so many possible circumstances that can cause bad performance in school. And fun fact! IQ tests, or at least the idea for them, were first created to evaluate French school children's performance :) and this "school performance" factor is still prevalent to this day. All of those unlucky kids could be geniuses if given the right support. But since they took an "IQ test" and scored low they get condemned as somehow inherently worse than their peers who did well, and get less support because of it (because supporting excellence yadayada), then they feel inferior, are less ambitious, get jobs that reflect it etc. etc. imo IQ being seen as "scientific" and "objective" is incredibly harmful. To everyone, the bad performing kids get treated as stupid, the average kids get the silver medal syndrome of feeling jealous and inadequate, and the kids who did well get unreasonable expectations put on them or develop a superiority complex. It's just ugh. up to 4 hours of a silly personality test is supposed to measure you as a person, ridiculous. I fully believe that if Einstein were to take an IQ test he wouldn't score the estimated 160, he was a genius who revolutionised physics yes, but IQ tests don't measure your life's work, they measure how well you did at school and how well you can solve IQ tests.

Ehh well, I could go on for a while, but I need to stop myself before I spend the entire day smack talking "IQ tests", if you haven't seen it yet I recommend the video essay Bell Curve by Shaun on YouTube. Great watch, it helped me put into words the odd discomfort I felt after getting my score

Sorry I feel like I got off topic rather hard hah

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Lmao I feel like we both got major off topic, but yeah I can agree with all that lol - just can't wait til the next AI enhanced IQ test saying all these business majours are smarter than god

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

ah what a peculiar world we live in that this is something probably :')
