Why native plants?
According to the The National Audubon Society:
Restoring native plant habitat is vital to preserving biodiversity. By creating a native plant garden, each patch of habitat becomes part of a collective effort to nurture and sustain the living landscape for birds and other animals.

Looks nice! I've got a whole stretch where I want to pull up the sod and plant wildflowers for real. Right now it's just really tall grass, and I spread some wildflower seed in there but only got a smattering of plants.
