Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.

No. It's not. It's an exact comparison. And enough time has gone by and data exists to see the difference in the community response.
If you want to compare the lemmy response to Ukraine and to Israel, that would be an interesting post for you to make. Present your argument in a original post, and we can have a fun discussion about it.
However when new news comes out, and your comment is what about this other news! That is exactly what aboutism.
Well yeah, that's why Russia is under sanctions, and why we're helping Ukraine.
You're right about US policy (when Congress gets it's shit together). I'm referring to the vitriol in the community online.
you're not wrong. and Russia is also a bad guy. But so is Israel. And so is North Korea. And so is America. And so is...
The list goes on and on. But this article isn't about Russia, is it? It's about Israel committing war crimes.
Appreciate your comment. I'm the first to point out using an irrelevant post as a soapbox to distract from other news. I'm pointing out the difference in response from the online community over the past two years.
i don't know which communities you've been hanging out in, but the consensus is that Russia is also fucked up.
