I'm looking for a watch that is able to do basic "smart" things like show notifications and ping my phone if I misplace it. A timer/stopwatch would also be good, and a long lasting battery.

I have no interest in an Apple watch or Galaxy watch, so I'm looking for something comparatively cheap.

Unironically a Huawei Watch, because its software would not pair up with other brand phones well. It is premium. More private options are Garmin watches. Gadgetbridge compatible smart bands are basic and okay.

But IMHO if you buy these planned obsolescence toys, you are stupid. Get yourself a Casio, Citizen, Seiko, Omega, Rado, Rolex, Tissot, Cartier, Ulysse Nardin, Patek Philippe et al for similar price to a smartwatch toy. With a chronograph watch, you get date, day, time and timer with unrivalled durability and uber wealthy timeless feeling.

Edit: unsure if Lemmy is glitching or Jerboa is. Sorry. It happened twice today.
