I considered that, but people are not good at following instructions and I'd prefer them to explain if they are confused. Also some people have a habit of up voting everything/multiple things which would also confuse results. I also have an interest in going into people's selected pronouns and statistics on that for each category. I want to figure out what identities are less represented and how to drag more people of less represented identities here. I wouldn't be able to do that easily with an up vote only approachI think I will do a different survey eventually and will ask a question differently. I think I'll ask if people are cishet or not, as some people do not like identifying as certain shorthand terms like queer. This issue showed up a bit in this survey, where some people that aren't cis didn't really identify with the terms gender diverse or transgender
