Those of you who know me know that I'm openly transjapanese. For anyone who doesn't know, that's a transrace identity meaning that I identify as Japanese, despite it not being in my ancestry or my culture.

I made the community cuz I wanted a space to specifically talk about transjapanese identities, since they various from, say, transwhite or transblakc identities.

These are some euphorias of my transrace:

  • Clothing euphoria (from wearing Kimonos and stuff)
  • Food euphoria (from eating authentic Japanese food or using Japanese utensils)
  • Skin color euphoria (from wearing light makeup)
  • Eye shape euphoria (from imagining myself with monolids)

These are some dysphorias of my biorace:

  • Facial hair pattern dysphoria
  • Skin color dysphoria (skin feels too dark)
  • Last name dysphoria (last name is very ethnic)

I identify as an Asian-American Japanese girl. Someday I wish for us to have methods of race transition. I'll probably seek to lighten my skin and get monolid surgery someday

I don't feel apart of the concept of race, nationality, or ethnicity, but I feel nostalgia and wanderlust towards Japan. I find the language very beautiful as well. Trans-Japanese (linguistically) might fit me.
