I was planning to build with the Asus B760-i motherboard, but the Z690-I motherboard dropped to a similar price, so I’m reconsidering.

My concern with switching is whether or not the Thermalright PS120se cooler will fit because others have indicated that there may be fitting issues on the Z690-I motherboard with air coolers.

Curious if anyone has done a SFF build with this block yet? I know it's not quite as small as the Alphacool ES block, but the EK-Pro is compatible with the Zotac cards, which are not only available in North America, but also priced well.

I ordered one and am going to attempt to swap out the 3080 in my NCASE for the 4090. The EK-Pro block is wider, but with the ports on the rear, should still fit.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to build a small form pc. The MOBO, CPU, RAM combo I got from Microcenter has:

ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi, AMD 7900X, 64GB DDR5 6000 MHz cl30

I plan to use this PC with iGPU, and 7900X on ECO mode. I want to use air cooler for stability because the CPU is on ECO mode.

  1. With that said, anyone with the Meshroom S can comment if I can fit an ATX PSU with my MOBO if I don't use dGPU at all?
  2. If 1 is possible, can you please recommend me a good air cooler that can fit this case when I don't use dGPU? I know the max clearance is 74mm for 3 slot GPU, but can I shift the MOBO toward GPU's side to gain more space?
  3. If 1 is not possible, N-ATX is my only choice, then can you please recommend me a good air cooler with 79mm clearance?

Thank you in advance everyone

I’m pulling together my first build in a long time (current, wheezing, pc - i7 2600/R9 390 lol) and looking for some advice/guidance on my plans. I’m going jade fractal terra, it’s inspired me and I think it’s a beaut, I’m looking for 1440p, higher end settings, and looking to play more single player stuff starfield etc. no productivity work. Currently my proposed build is:

  • Ryzen 7600/7600x
  • NH-L12S
  • MSI MPG B650i Edge mini ITX
  • Corsair vengeance 32gb DDR5-5600
  • Samsung 980 pro 1tb
  • RX 6950xt
  • Corsair SF750
  • Additional A12x15
  • Fractal Terra

Budget of about £1.5k

My main questions or quibbles are:

  • For my desired resolution spec is 7600/7600x suitable? I doubt I need more and the NH-L12S should cool either fine but anything more would creep up the heat yes?
  • If staying with 7600, is it worth going to the 7600x? Performance/heat wise? I’m in uk so energy prices high, just wondering if it’s worth it long term not just initial buy-in
  • GPU is more of a placeholder, what is the most cost effective choice to cover my desired specs? 6950 xt seems a good deal

Based on research I can fit the NH-L12S with up to a 2.75 (not looking to max that out) slot gpu which should give the best cooling/gpu power. Any general advice or thoughts are appreciated!

Whilst baddass action stars and well written antagonists get all the glory, there's the unspoken heros that are the writers.

Don't get me wrong, I love me a great action sequence, cheesy diologue and a good revenge/vengeance story.

But I've realized what REALLY gets me to the edge of my seat is diologue that makes you get goosebumps.

The buildup to those encounters on Breaking bad or Game of Thrones and Vikings. The scenes of absolute betrayal, heartbreak, or tragedy in some of our favorite oscar-worthy films coupled with great acting.

Sometimes all it takes is one "I'm your huckleberry " to take a movie from really good to astounding.

So tell me. What scenes, or entire movies/shows have you glued to the screen because of the writing?

P.S.: I'm ready for the 50 recommendations about that scene in Heat

I’ve binging a bunch of Radiohead live on YouTube. And one minute he’s a prick, the other minute he’s playing Creep back to back with Karma Police and seemingly loving playing both. Yes, Creep was the popular thorn in his side. But he’s seems to be having so much real fun. Almost glee. Really cool.

Could anyone more experience with SFF or the 2000D case help me select the right CPU/Fan/Mobo combo? I am worried about over heating and having enough room. I don’t think I need a 13900.

What would be a good pairing with what I have in the link below? I greatly appreciate any help.

Hi everyone. I'm planning on building my first SFFPC and my main concern is about cooling the CPU. I'm going with the i7 for professional workload, so there's going to be long periods of stress, and I don't want it to be termal throttling. The GPU is going to be mid tier, as the PC is mainly for work. The cooling solution (Low Profile vs Air vs AIO WC) comes first, next is the case.

So, which cooling solution is the best?

Hello everyone. I'm thinking of getting the Arctic 280 AIO (2x 140mm fans). Does anyone know if it would be possible do side mount it on the NR200P with a push&pull configuration? I have my doubts cause of the fans being a bit thicker than the P12 fans.

Hi community :)

I am a complete newbie, last time i build a pc was with my father around 2004, so long time.

Been using an Legion 5 Pro for the last 2 years, but now i want to finally build a SFF, i got lucky and could get my hands on a 4070FE for MSRP, they are always sold out here in germany!

I'm looking at SFF cases for months now, but i still feel super overwhelmed (my lack of experience doesn't help) by the sheer amount of options.

ROG STRIX X670E

Ryzen 7800x3d

RTX 4070 FE

I don't want to go hypersmall, just small enough without sacrificing too much.

My wants / needs:

-I want to be able to fit a large cpu cooler (overkill maybe, but i like it)

-horizontal case / horizontal gpu position

-ideally a case that favors the airflow of the FE flowthrough design

-I want to be able to fit additional case fans on either the bottom or top of the case for additional cooling (not a must but would be nice)

-all in all very good (air)cooling while being as quiet as possible are my top priorities

As stupid as it may sounds but i don't to play games on ultra settings. I'm in it for longevity, i play all games on either medium or high settings without ray tracing, 1440p and i cap the framerate most of the time. I want to keep this system for a long time once its finished. The whole system doesn't have to work as hard, as a result its a bit quieter and cooler in my theory. correct me if i am wrong here. Game graphics got so good in the last years, they always look kinda super good to me.

Would be great if you guys could help me out choose the right case :)

cheers

I just had my PC built and started to put on frame and Temp trackers on my pc when I noticed my CPU running way to hot for comfort.

My PC is

4080 MSI Ventus 3x

i5 13600k

ROG Strix B760-1 Gaming Wifi

Corsair SF750

Corsair Vengeance 32 GB RAM

Be Quiet Pure Rock LP

Fractal Terra case (Black)

From what I have seen I believe my options are to have a more powerful CPU Cooler installed as I have seen that the Pure Rock lacks in high cooling or to learn to undervolted my CPU a lot as I am hitting temps on at least 2 of the programs I am using at 97C while playing games.

If anyone had seen my last post I am still under a bit of a time crunch and looking to have this resolved soon. I have no problems spending a bit more money to buy and install a better fan. If I chose to do this what fan should be used that will fit the clearance of my small case.

Thank in advance!

I'm so confused right now. The support page for my Asus B650E-I just updated its download for the chipset driver. But the version is ahead of the chipset driver on AMD's page. Which do I download?

AMD

ASUS

I have a Sama IM-01 build with a 5900x, 3060ti, Corsair SF750, and a CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240 V2 cpu cooler. However I’ve heard these lower end AIO liquid coolers aren’t great and I could have better cooling and reliability with an air tower cooler.

My question is: should I replace my AIO liquid cooler with an air tower, and if so what should I get?

Thanks!

I wanted to make something which would take less space on my desk but I didn't want to lose out on some performance I enjoyed from my old system.

Some points:

I wanted to save some cash by reusing my 3080, but it wouldn't fit so it needed a deshroud. I used 3x Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax wired directly to the video cards fan headers.

The USB hub on the front gives me 4 extra USB 3.2 ports connected directly to the E-type connector on the motherboard.

There are still some modifications I need to do, the video card exhaust isn't sufficient, so I have the side panel off right now. I will dremel out some extra slots. Right now it runs very cool, as the case has direct cold, dust filtered air.

CPU runs warm, 55c idle, 77c gaming, 90c full load. I'm running an all-core PBO negative curve of -23. I will do some per-core testing here soon.
