I just got the S23 and everything about this device just works. I'm really happy with the feel of this product.
I remember the first day I got my p7p. I couldn't get excited about it, something just felt off. The user experience just wasn't very refined, and there were definite hardware issues. I made excuses for it hoping that it just needed some updates, but nope, it never got better. I continued in a gray existence being unsatisfied with my shitty p7p. I felt like I had invested so much time, effort, and energy into getting the p7p to work the way I wanted, so I didn't give up on it, but it never got better.
Then the other day a power button on my p7p randomly fell off. I was jerked around mercilessly by incompetent google customer service who had no idea how to address my issues, and instead sent me to a UbreakIfix where the associate commented on how many issues he's encountered with the p7p. Ultimately they said google didn't cover the damages. I then recontacted customer service and they offered me a profound solution to my problem, which was to replace my fully paid for new device with a refurbished device!
At this point I said fuck this, purchased a replacement power button myself, jammed it into the slot, and went to a bestbuy to trade in my p7p for an s23, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made all year.
The S23's screen feels so much more responsive, doesn't get hot, has a responsive gyro senser, a more reliable fingerprint sensor, better battery life, and has very smooth scrolling. This is a device that can definitely consider itself a peer to an iPhone, if not superior in some cases. The p7p, on the other hand shouldn't even be in the same conversation. The ONLY thing I miss is the 5x optical zoom, but the s23 has 3x which is awesome in itself.
The guy at bestbuy commented on how many Pixel devices are being returned. I just want to say, if you have a p7p, there is a way out. Bestbuy bought back my p7p for $400, due to a promotion for the s23. You don't have to hold on to your device! Break free from the chains of the p7p, see the light, and get an s23!
