I remembered nvidia enabling RT for Pascal GPU's to show its next generation of GPU's superiority for such task. While my old rig is still operational I gave Control a shot and see how it performs. I have the unofficial patch installed to enable HDR since I play this on my 4K TV. The game is set to almost max settings (medium volumetric and reflections) at 720p render resolution + RT on medium (reflection and transparency) and impressively the game is very playable at this quality.

The only time it drops to 23 fps is when traversing the maintenance section as seen in the screenshot.

Need some input. I have a RTX 4080 Super Suprim X with a i7-11700K. I wanted to ask anyone if this is a bad pair up for me? This is not a new build, I was forced to buy a better graphics card bc my 5700XT died on me. Just checking if my CPU will be okay with this power house of a GPU as I'm low on cash atm and looking for a new job

I bought an Nvidia RTX 4070 TI Super OC, 16GB VRAM GPU about 3-4 months ago. My CPU is an Intel i7, and I need to upgrade it. I am pretty dissatisfied with Intel CPUs (I feel they are inferior to AMD at this point in time) and am looking to swap my Motherboard and processor to AMD.

Are there any cons to pairing my GPU with a 7800X3D or a 7950X3D. I know the 7800X3D is best in class for gaming (outside of the 9800X3D that is sold out everywhere). My main task is gaming in at least 1440p, so not sure which way to go. Looking to upgrade the MB to ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-A.

Hey all - So, I have a question about enabling the DSR for God of War: Ragnarok. I have it all set up in the Nvidia Control panel, and it works great in Fortnite. My 1080P is DSR to 1440 in Fortnite in the GeForce Experience app. But for God of War, it won't let me change the resolution from 1080P. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!!

Hi, I wonder if some of you might help me make a uograde decision:

Got a 3080TI paired with i7 8600k. Playing in 2K mostly and 4K sonetimes (TV). I wonder how much better I'd fare with a CPU upgrade? Most games run perfect but newer titles are more demanding so I wonder if future proifing early in the CPU department could get me sone gaines^

Sup yall, i will be getting rid of my arc a750 next week and i'm looking for a quick upgrade. Used 3070ti's and 3080's are looking quite nice, 3080 at 380$ and 3070 ti for less than 350$.

Now, here is the catch, i have a 1080p monitor and i don't plan on upgrading that anytime soon. More than that, the said 3070 ti is white, and it would suit the aesthetic i'm going for much better, cause white 3080's are overpriced as hell.

So, would going for the 3080 be worth forgoing the aesthetic for 2gb vram more in my case? Also, 3070ti speaks to me more with lower power consumption. It's not really important, but a nice bonus.

40 series cards are a no go, cause even 4060 ti is the price of a 3080 ti in my case.

No AMD cause i had bad expiriences with them in the past.

And on the side note, should i upgrade my cpu? It's 12400f, and nothing is really stopping me from going to 12700kf or something like that. Will the diffrence be worth it?

I recently built my first PC with a ryzen 7700 that I got a cracking deal on. I've undervolted/slightly overclocked it for a 7% performance boost over base. Held off on buying the GPU initially as I wasn't certain what to pair it with.

I could get a used 4080 or 4080 super presently for around £750-£780, or I could wait for the 5080, which I'm assuming will be priced around the £1000 mark and have roughly 4090 level performance.

I'm hoping to be able to get 120-160fps @ 1440p with maxed settings. Don't mind using DLSS quality mode. Ideally I want this PC to last me until halfway through next console gen, so 7 years or 2032 maybe (understanding that I'll have to start dropping settings a bit down the line). Haven't used ray tracing before but I'm open to advice/opinions regarding it.

My question is would it be worth buying a 5080 or will it be bottlenecked by my CPU? Same for the 4080 even? Will a used 4080 stay alive for another 7/8 years? I don't intend to upgrade my CPU or switch to 4k until that time.

I’m seeing the Asus Dual 4070 Super EVO on Amazon and Best Buy for $599.. is that a good enough price for it, or better to wait for Black Friday?

And if so, when and where should I be looking around for deals? Appreciate the help!

I've been contemplating it for months, Upgrading from a 1080ti to a 4080S.

But there is something inside me saying I should just wait for the 5000 series to drop.

arghhhh I dont know.

I know the upgrade will be significant especially since I do a lot of VR sim racing

Do I wait for a 5080? or just pull the trigger?

It will be a sad day taking out the GOAT that is the 1080ti out of my system though.

Will be the best PC part purchase I ever made .

Is my GPU faulty?

I’ve recently built a PC with an RTX 4070 Super. I connected it to an LG OLED TV via HDMI 2.1. Initially it all worked great, but after a while I noticed that very rarely the screen would flicker in random colors.

I bought another HDMI cable and it seemed to solve the issue for a few days. Then it started again. Last Friday night it quickly got worse and the flickering started happening repeatedly. It is not specific to just one game.

I came across a post in r/OLED_Gaming where other people had problems when connecting Nvidia GPUs to LG OLED TVs: https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/s/8huAxXo1Sk

Some people in that post solved the issue by changing the HDMI cable. I don’t have a more expensive cable right now, but I decided to do more testing with the cables I have.

I happen to have a Samsung TV that has one HMDI 2.1 port, so I connected the PC to it, to see if there was any difference compared to LG. It worked fine with 60 Hz without VRR or HDR. Then I changed to 120 Hz and it started flickering black (not rainbow colors like the LG). If I turn HDR on, it also flickers black. It flickers even on the desktop. I tested it with two HDMI 2.1 cables with the same result.

Then I did another test: I connected the TV to the HDMI in the motherboard, turned 120 Hz and HDR on and it worked fine. It did not flicker.

I tried reinstalling the most recent Nvidia drivers with DDU. I downgraded the drivers. I made sure the cables connecting the graphics card to PSU were properly connected. The graphics card seems very well seated. The PSU has enough power for my system. Temperatures are fine (around 65 celsius for the GPU while gaming).

I’ve sent an email to the graphics card manufacturer and I am waiting for a response.

Is there any other tests worth doing before eventually sending the GPU to RMA? Is it worth buying a more expensive HDMI cable or did the test with the integrated graphics rule out the possibility that it might be a cable problem?

Co powinienem kupić?
Zotac 4070Ti Super Solid (AD102 a nie jak inne ti AD103)3600zł
Gigabyte 4070 Super Gaming 3000zł

Is vram important for things like moderate editing and gaming? Is 8GB of VRAM sufficient and smooth for these tasks or should I go for 12GB.

Hello guys!

I have an old Seasonic PSU model (ss-1250xm active pfc f3) - https://ibb.co/K0Y35dy

As you can see, the PCI-E sockets are 12 PIN

I purchased Seasonic's 12VHPWR cable - https://ibb.co/Fh2FXgQ which comes 2x8 PIN to 12VHPWR, and it didn't work on my PSU as I don't have 8 PIN PCI-E sockets.

I didn't notice that in my PSU until I got the cable... is there any where in the world that sells a cable that fits in my PSU? or should I stick with the power adapter that comes with the 4090 GPU?

I am aware they are breaking into new territory so others are bound to catch up. But now seeing the news that they're going into CPUs. It almost seems like they're capitalising on the failure of Intel and now forcing them out.

Will there be no step-in from the US government to prevent a total monopoly of GPUs and CPUs?

What do you guys think?

Hey Guys,

lately I got back into gaming and using my computer more. Right now I have a i5-12600K with an 2060 OC 6GB. And its doing something, but not the right things.

Because of that I decided to keep an eye out for good offers over Black Friday.

I would look for an 4070 Super or 4070 TI Super. With the goal, that I dont need an Update for the next five years.

What do you say? Which should I buy or any other suggestions?

Does anyone know what silicon isotope Nvidia uses? I've tried searching it up but couldn't find it, I thought some people here might know

I recently got an LG C3 and the Shield's CEC can turn the TV off but for some reason it won't turn the TV on. Is there a way to fix this? I don't know if it's the Shield or the TV that's acting up.

Hi, have you ever tried using the Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED (S49CG934SU) monitor? Are there any visual issues, like with text? Which graphics card are you using?

Or will I need a new PSU? Will waiting for the new50 series be a better idea? Thanks

I’m sorry for beating a dead horse with this one. But is MSI 3090 X Trio worth $100 more than a Founders Edition 3090? Both cards are used.

Hi,

As the title says, i currently have a 1070. But i am recognizing a lot of performance issues with the latest games.

Should i upgrade now to a 4070 ti super or should i wait for the 5070 ?

thx

Hi all, I currently have a 3080 turbo edition 10gb and I want to get the best out of a gpu for running games on ultra settings at 1440p. Would it be a good choice to upgrade to a 4080 super?
