You can choose the DE on install.
I'm in favor. KDE's workflow is more familiar to everyone.
Go Team Red next time. They still support S3, and probably CSM too.
Fastboot has nothing to do with this.
Apparently S3 is "less secure" according to FWUPD. Fuck sleep to idle. I hope it dies and S3 (sleep to RAM) makes an epic comeback.

Nah. I'm using the built in monitor on my craptop.
To make it worse, newer Intel CPUs can't even enter S3 state.
Don't. It's almost unusable. You'll have to pay money to sideload apps. Imagine paying for piracy.
