I finally started advancing on the main story in starfield and the faction quests and the game really picked up, got hooked for sure. I think it passed fallout 4 on my list

yeah I feel hobbies are really important and boredom is important for your hobbies, thats one reason I had uninstalled reddit in the past because I felt it was just too easy to open up reddit and not touch my hobbies in my free time. Also my younger cousin was once telling me about some kid and how he was an ipad kid, and I asked what that meant and he explained it about how it was a kid who the parents gave them an ipad when they were little to keep them calm. it was kind of funny the first time he told me but now that I notice it it feels pretty sad when I see it

I mean their parents have probably been tracking them since they were kids so they just grew up thinking it's normal, I also recently learned kids in school feel awkward if they aren't walking to class while on their phone because then they feel like people will think they aren't cool enough to have people to talk to at all times

I just want non monetized media to survive in the future. not everything has to be designed to be addictive and for profit so it's just sad that people couldn't hold out from reddit long enough to make a difference or just plain don't care

yeah personally I dont like the subscription model and wished more people setup their own server at home to stream their own plex and stream their own steam-headless or virtual machines but that just isnt realistic and people love thier streamed content more and more. Just look at me Im talking through you from a virtual machine on my server VPN'd from my phone connected to a monitor and keyboard. I dont carry a laptop anymore I just plug my phone in at work or at home and just use parsec

I dont think anyone doubts the prices will go up, but if it costs less than a AAA game every few months then people will pay it for the ability to play those games without a console or PC and to be able to play multiple games for the price of one

its been like that for a good while now, I remember when I first tried geforce now playing cod 2019, then at work I wanted to setup my classes during lunch and it was gone, turned out blizzard/activision got mad that nvidia was letting people play their game even though you had to own the game so they pulled it off the service

There's just so much content now a days it's easier to just not comment to a reply and move on, where when I was on forums it was the main thing to do because there wouldn't be so many posts
