That was about the best outcome. As bad as Fiji looked at times, we couldn’t have that awful Australian team in the quarters.

I’m watching the Portugal Fiji game, so expect it to go to shit for Portugal soon.

Clearly I know nothing.
Italy tend to perform quite well against France , whether that’s cos a lot of them play their club rugby in the top 14 or neighbourly rivalry, I dunno. But that and France seeming to always play to the level of their opponents, I don’t see it being a walkover.
Genuinely bricking it for this one. Must win game, and Italy will be looking to bounce back from the dreadful showing against the ABs.

Odd one to watch there. Really wanted Georgia to win, so was cursing as Fiji got their tries. But it’s Fiji, innit. can’t not enjoy watching them.
Unable to vote from behind a VPN so will have to do that when I get home, but voting Fiji-Portugal. The Ireland - SA game was undoubtedly the “better” game and had potentially higher stakes, but the former was just loads of fun from a neutral pov.
