Guilty. Followed by The Rizzness, despite it's name. The rest of the songs I'm not overly fond of but they are nice to listen to!

I have a bunch going on at once lol

  • In Every Mirror She's Black by Lola Akerstrom. Good turn your brain off read so far.
  • Smarter, Sharper Thinking by Jenny Brockis. Not a turn your brain off read. Mentions a lot of "should be common sense" things and kinda cements my distaste for self help books
  • Still very slowly reading Paradise Lost by John Milton. My brain can only handle so much in a day

I'm a huge Green Day but I'm not feeling it. Still looking forward to the new album, though.

Most valuable item: I think that has to be the very first CD I owned which is Insomniac by Green Day.

Best acting skills: I have no idea! All the times I've seen an idol act are just in MVs and they're usually all pretty not good, hah.

Concerts: I attended a Coheed and Cambria concert! It was so good. I want to see them again.

Listening to: Because of the concert I've been listrning to a lot of Coheed and Cambria and the opening act, Deafheaven. I've also been obsessed with the song "Treason" by Tinashe. I can't get enough of it.

I don't know how but I didn't know about Morrison until recently. I just read this for the first time this year. It was a really good read. "Beautifully upsetting" is an understatement but my nose was glued to the pages. I can see where the controversy lies, it's definitely not an all ages read. But I think with all media, parents should know what their school aged children are reading and make the final say if it is appropriate for their maturity levels or not. I do kinda balk at the idea of a middle schooler reading this. I've read that some US high schools even have this (or Beloved) in their English curriculum.

I needed a break from Paradise Lost so I started reading Zadie Smith's White Teeth. I'm really enjoying her characters so far. There's something larger than life about them.

Mine is Taemin. To me, his artistry is on a whole other level. He has such control over his body and can convey so much with so little. I can't speak for his passion levels these days but he is so dedicated to his craft, it's inspiring. His discography is amazing. I am a sucker for his darker, avante garde musical aesthetic. I respect him so much as a musician and a dancer.

It also helps that he is super relatable, hilariously awkward at times, funny, and very beautiful. I think a part of it too is that I also can't help but feel for the guy. Idk why this is a factor but being in the industry for so long and at such a young age, is just kinda heartbreaking? He has stuck with this for half his life and has gone through so much, I can't help but root for him. I'll support him through whatever he does (as long as it's not morally objectional). I just have an overwhelming desire for him (and the rest of SHINee) to be happy in life.

I read this book a long time ago, during my Jodi Picoult phase. To be honest, I don't remember much about it (all her books blur together for me nowadays), but I am surprised it has been banned. Obviously there's violence but usually the romance aspects of Picoult's books are the main focal point. I don't think it was sexually graphic, either.

Lately I have been listening to Tinashe and Juan Karlos's latest albums. I haven't been listening to a lot of k-pop lately :<
