I use mod.rs all over the place because it entirely encapsulates a module in a folder. But since the name of the file is fairly obtuse and doesn't say what it is, I usually only re-export other better named files that also exist in that folder.

I'm the case that I want a module with content, and then more further nested content that may use pub(super), I will use a module named file and a separate folder to hold it's children modules.

Hey you hedgy bois.

The best way I have found to feed the federator and find new communities is to use https://browse.feddit.de. You can find communities on there and then sub to them from this account.

For example if you want to find the lemmy.ml/c/memes community and have it pop up here, you would search for it using this string [[email protected]](/c/[email protected]) (note the "!" at the beginning). It will take up to 15 seconds for the search to register the community. But after that you can sub and it will feed our federator. That is all. Thanks!
