Also, I think people are trained to think that they can systematically control people within certain groups through collective punishment. Israelis and Jews in general are unfortunately part of those groups.
People seem to believe that they have no control over what Chinese groups do because it’s too alien for them. It’s outside of their scope of having any control over or understanding of.
