Just ran the figures and based on paying the standard 5% into your pension then in extra money I get an 1.70 per month increase take home pay.

The rest of the increase is paid via tax relief direct into your pension. Can't touch it though for years to come.

Good long term I guess but hardy helps short term. Most likely just encourage people to opt out the pension totally.

Same here. Sansa in the drawer, only brought it as used to be able to hack a ps3 with it before full custom firmware was a thing.

Zune still works but no windows 10 drivers so stuck with old music 😕

Both mine are there and tested for power use.

Running 24/7 for a good 6 months. Certainly not noticed any difference to power cost.

I'm a big fan of dell wyse machines. Loads on ebay, ex business machines. X86 so decent support, decent dell power supply, on / off button / in cases and low power.

I have wyse 3040 for pihole cost 39.99

I have wyse 5070 with windows 10 for plex and running a Ubuntu 22 server in virtual box, cost 59.99

Lucky I guess but noticed when I leave work at 4.30pm, I can get to the local sainsburys in 5 minutes and the amount of discounted food is crazy. I buy gbp 4.00 meals all the time for 99p then just freeze and eat for the next few weeks.

Good as long as you aren't picky and will eat anything.

Freezer currently full of meat and ready made meals.

You don't. I also don't recommend you marry them.... Happily divorced now 🙄

I put them into groups, servers, consoles, computers, phones, smart devices, media. Between 10 to 20 per range.

Everything else the dhcp server gives out ip over x.x.x.150 so easy to see new stuff.

Nice pub, lived by it for years. Right pain to get to though, mud road to reach it.

I was surprised myself, 10p a time adds up. Being so cheap it was easy enough to carry 2 large clothe bags in my backpack everywhere. Saved a fortune over the years over paying for plastic bags.

Typical not available in the UK.

Hi, just wondering if someone has any thoughts why transfers over my home network are on the slow side.

I originally thought the network was slow as had a raspberry pi acting as a network share for a while. It's now been removed and writing / switch replaced but b it's not really improved the speed.

I've got 1gb Ports and cableing on my router and switch, 1 x mycloud 5tb, and dell wyse 5070 windows 10 system with a 256gb m2 drive running 24/7.

When using my laptop via wifi to move a files from wyse to mycloud it's about 28meg / samba share.

Yet when I moving find via my mobile using a samba client and again move from wyse to mycloud it's always around 8meg.

It almost seems the file gets transferred by samba to the phone / laptop first then sent to mycloud. Surely samba would get wyse and mycloud taking and transfer direct to each other?

Thanks
