Failed to connect: org.bluez.Error.Failed br-connection-create-socket in specific. I'm researching now but if you have experience w/ the issue i'd appreciate help

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

welp i got a new error: Input/output error. Thanks a lot for the help however.

I'm using bluez and blueman all updated and i get this error when connecting to multiple devices(DS4 controller, phone, earbuds). It says Connection failed: No audio endpoints registered. I have tried extensively to solve this but I can't seem to find the issue. I'm using arch linux. I've also used bluetoothctl to try and connect but didnt get an explicit error, it just didnt work.

Bluez version: 5.75-1 Kernel: 6.8.5-arch1-1 Pulse version(this might or might not matter): 17.0

Ask for anything, and thanks in advance for the help!

I'm not ashamed, louis always says that of you want to be a "number 15" then just be honest about it and don't make up bullshit excuses.

You needed to explain that for it to make sense

Don't use windows

Whenever I run any app, including winecfg, I get this error: 00a0:err:hid:udev_bus_init UDEV monitor creation failed 012c:err:winediag:nodrv_CreateWindow Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded. 012c:err:winediag:nodrv_CreateWindow L"The explorer process failed to start."

This only happens after I enable the virtual desktop option in winecfg. I can't boot winecfg to turn it off even. How do I disable this in (system.reg)?

I've got a magellan gps and I want to load some maps onto it. The only way to do so is with the magellan vantagepoint software. I ran the installer and there were no errors or any notable issues, but when I run the VantagePoint.exe file, it returns this error:

I've installed .net like the only thing I could find said, but haven't found a further solution. Does anybody have other advice? Thank you very much in advance for the assistance.

I’m running arma 3’s launcher with wine, and I ran it on my last distro perfectly fine, but this doesn’t run at all for some reason. I’ve tried troubleshooting but nothing. It has something to do with wbemprox.dll which I can find and disable, but it doesn’t fix anything. The error message is: 0150:err:sync:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 7FC818A0 "../wine/dlls/wbemprox/table.c: table_cs" wait timed out in thread 0150, blocked by 0148, retrying (60 sec) 0120:err:sync:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 7FC818A0 "../wine/dlls/wbemprox/table.c: table_cs" wait timed out in thread 0120, blocked by 0148, retrying (60 sec) 0024:err:sync:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 7783112C "?" wait timed out in thread 0024, blocked by 0120, retrying (60 sec)

GPS questions (iusearchlinux.fyi)

I picked up a two gpses for better accuracy when caching, and I haven't got to go to an open field, but I live in an urban environment and don't have a full view of the sky, but I just can't get more than 2 satellites connected to it. Is this because of the lack of sky view and is there a way to see the locations of gps satellites in the sky?

edit: solved by waiting a long time under clear sky

fall back! (iusearchlinux.fyi)

As the linux market share increases to 4%, arch linux will consistently keep coming in. Unfortunately, this will make arch harder to gatekeep, and eventually everyone will prefer arch. So we need a solution to this problem. And that is what I have! I propose that the distro gatekeepers of arch linux should fall back... to gentoo! Think about it, it's way harder to install for inexperienced users, and it compiles everything itself so it will test the patience of anyone we are trying to gatekeep.

So what do we think?
