The poor and middle-class, you know, the majority of the population, have been beaten down by the "corrupt elite" for centuries. The problem with using a term like "far-right populist" is that the far-right are always on the side of corporate interests, additional corruption of government to weaken its power, and anything that would further promote the already fucked wealth gap we have between the rich and the poor. They are the corrupt elite!

Just using your example of Trump's MAGA movement, Trump is just a grifter trying to promote an image of an outsider, but he very much isn't one. Calling somebody a "far-right populist" is lying about what their true goals are. It is an oxymoron.

People from the Occupy Wall Street movement, even as misguided and directionless as that movement was, were trying to reduce the power of corporations through their protests. They weren't lying about being populists.

A better example would be somebody like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, whose actions and voting record are consistent with ones who are trying to take power from corporations and give it back to the rest of the public.

This is why I have little respect for most of the art community. There are some exceptions that are just doing it for the love of the work and producing unique styles. But, mostly it's just boring, overdone bullshit being sold for 500x what it's worth, or artists sabotaging themselves to get ahead, or artists shitting on their own audience, or all three, or everything in-between.

As the industry has been growing increasing oversaturated for decades, centuries even, the toxic egos have been more and more pronounced. And I am definitely not surprised this guy got popular on the cesspool that is TikTok.

"Wins". A 12-year battle is a pyrrhic victory at best.

Is the RPS writer a Star Citizen whale? Only Star Citizen victims fall for this shit.

With the right prompt, you can recover copies of the original.

Clearly somebody who's never used the software.

Nobody, however suicidal or craven, wants to be the leader that caused their country to get nuked into the stone age, or be the one firing the nukes to said country.

I also doubt Iran gets involved in any official capacity. Russia is too involved in another war to step in, and Iran is content with this being a proxy war.

The Irish and Italians were put down as minorities in the 1800s, until they got absorbed as "whites" by the racist assholes who decided they everybody should fight other minorities with darker skin. White supremacists are going to supremacize.

I'm really not understanding this whole "start WWIII" bit. This is, at best, a proxy war. None of the other countries are going to risk that kind of political or economical power to fight over this tiny strip of land, that has already been in its own private little war for six decades, anyway. Especially not for middle-eastern territories. The old white guys in the Western world care as much for that region as they do for African countries, which is to say not fucking much. And the last major war that was fought there that even involved the Western countries was called the "Six-Day War" for a reason.

WWII started because Hitler actually took over entire first-world countries. This is no comparison.

Clickbait title is clickbait. This is barely newsworthy.

My point is that if all you are doing is cleaning up frames and trying to upscale footage from 24fps to 60fps, you have all of the data you need from the previous/next frames to blend those into in-between frames. A model trained on the movie would help, but there's no need to get into anything as complex as 3D models of objects. Sub-second animation data is just fine.

Like, I like Lawrence of Arabia. That movie actually has pretty good-quality footage. But…there’s still film grain. And the frame rate is only so high. But there is a whole lot of footage of Lawrence in that movie, enough information to do a pretty good job, if used effectively, of dropping film grain, generating intermediate frames, and increasing the resolution.

This is possible today, and without much effort. Most Stable Diffusion kits just come with upscalers and, as long as you pick the right ones for the job, the models act like fucking magic. Way way better than any of the "nearest neighbor" algorithms image editors provide.

Video editors already have really good tools for interpolating frames for slow motion. They are a bit fiddly in high motion situations, but work well otherwise.
