Just filled the green bin with the grass that's sprouted in the flower beds, and haven't even touched the back section around the lemon tree or the front.

Joining the Odd Sleep club - kept on stirring awake every hour or so, with weird dreams the last couple of times.
The one that did me in the end was dreaming I went to a once off client (I work in aged care) and first of all the car wouldn't move and I was somehow blocking both lanes, then when I got there the client thought he was having heart problems and we agreed we'd wait and see what happened and yeah, if he wanted to finish his electronics project go for it, it'd soothe him whereas I know damned well from first aid training and personal experience that when in doubt you Call The Fucking Ambulance. So basically I couldn't get back to sleep for going WTAF, plus the cats both using my shoulders as pillows.
Eventually got up and turned on the heater because my face was freezing - took a while for the cats to figure it out but now Zooks is on my lap on the couch. Sammi is probably being a mini-potat in the bed

Work up way too early and couldn't get back to sleep so put on my big girl pants and went out to do the errands.
Aldi run done, cat litter and replacement gas cylinder for the soda King bought, replacement water jug filters and one of the Kmart Stanley mugs bought since I damaged the other one. Also filled up the car at the cheap petrol place on Kingston road.
Now back home and snuggled up with Sammi. Hoping to get a nap in but one of the neighbors has just started hammering so...

Just back from the vet - very happy with Sammi, they don't think she needs any more shots for now, I just need to keep an eye on her and contact them if anything changes.
Also Zooki's ears are fine, so no more drops. Thank Christ.

Sodding Amazon misdelivered my pakidge - looks like they just dropped it at the nearest unit doorway, despite mine being one unit down and opposite and very clearly labelled. And of course it was the one doorstep I missed on the recce before I had to pick up the papou.
Bang go any thoughts of me getting Amazon Prime if that's the standard of service I can expect in this neck of the woods.

Had plans to do some tidying and sorting since my morning client cancelled but I'm tired from a busy two days and the cats clearly want to nap on me.
Who am I to deny them?

Buried some of Mum's ashes in the back garden of the new place, at about the time she died two years ago.
A magpie started singing as I covered them up. She would have liked that, I think.

Cross fingers for me everyone - I just put an offer in on the unit I want to buy.
I was going to do it tomorrow after my aunt and I had another look, but I went to another OFI at the last minute and a woman with a family was very keen, so I got my offer in. Hopefully the fact that my offer is unconditional (inspection done, finance sorted) will give me the edge!

Got the news - I got the job!
Funny thing was, they were trying to call me all week but they thought I wasn't answering until they got through and found that they were calling the wrong number - it had somehow been entered wrong, so just as well I sent my resume through to the original person! Just a few extra bits of paperwork and the induction next Thursday and then we'll see when I actually start (probably week after).

Got the news - I'm an honorary auntie!

So the final offer came through for the house and I've accepted.
Let's just say it was more than the 'I'll be jumping around hosing champagne if I get this' amount. And off market to boot so no marketing fees.

IRL cake day today! Will wander down to the little vegan cafe that does a mean three 'cheese' toastie for brunch, then my aunt and cousin are coming down to take me out to dinner because the restaurant they liked last time is only open in the evening Sunday.
