@xavier_hm hmmm. Hard to say. I've been playing this type of game for so long that I'm afraid much of it I take for granted at this point.

The good news is that it has 4 difficulties that you can switch between at any time without penalty.

I don't feel there's anything mechanically complex to the point of being off-putting for less experienced players, but there is still plenty of room for min-maxing if you are inclined to optimize.

The most "difficult" thing is keeping track of all your units, and what they each do best at. Because each unit in combat is comprised of several individual characters you can customize, the possible combinations can be staggering, but the game is very generous about giving you opportunities to "check your math" before executing actions

Hope that helps :)

@anime_reference I feel this in my soul. Was real hard choosing between UO and Metaphor

I know I'm, like, really late to the party, but wow, Unicorn Overlord is maybe the best tactics game I've played in at least a decade.

They out Fire Emblem'd Fire Emblem

Evolution of a cat's nickname...

My little bubbyla (Jewish grandma style Yiddish)
Little bubby
Bubba
Bumpy (because he gives head bumps at feeding time)
Bumpus
Whumpus
Scrumpus whumpus
Scrump

And that's where we're at today. He is the scrump

@[email protected] We got him about 3 years ago. He knew when meal time was, but definitely felt like he had to come and tell us or it wouldn't happen haha.

Riku had a very similar box he stayed in almost all the time. Now he uses it exclusively as a scratching post :NyanPff:

Our second cat, Riku, was a street-cat before he went into the shelter system, we're almost certain.

For example, when we first got him he was afraid of rooms with tall ceilings - being out in the open was dangerous in his experience.

He was also very obviously dealing with food insecurity. He was mildly aggressive towards anyone coming near his food. We also had to get an RFID-activated feeder for the other cat because she grazes throughout the day and he would eat whatever was left out. He always finished every meal, no matter what.

But just recently, he's started leaving himself a snack for later. He's finally confident enough about his food to leave some out. He knows it well be there, and there will be more later.

Warms my heart
