Wow... And if you really want to see something crazy, scroll it up and down...

@[email protected] They could have tried to find better ways to work with people. For example, the old simple text ad system. But no, instead they decided to double down. The thing is, this is one war they won't win, one way or the other. Whether people just keep finding ways around it or even finally start moving to other services, this can't (and must not!) work for Google.

@[email protected] Well that was clickbait and a half if I've ever seen it. I don't think there is a person alive who thinks any of those things is in some way not illegal. I'll admit I wouldn't have assumed the password thing would land one in jail, but it's also pretty obviously not legal too and definitely something that would get one into trouble. Obviously. The other two are pretty much self explanatory as things that can land one in prison...

@[email protected] rofl, I always wondered about this, but actually have excellent vision, so couldn't verify.

@[email protected] As I recall, didn't it only have taste for like two seconds?

@[email protected] I would not count on Reddit holding out very long on actually protecting its users. Obviously this is just for show and if it comes down to it they'll hand over the information without fuss if the show becomes too inconvenient.

@[email protected] "Cis" is literally just the Latin equivalent of the opposite of "trans." "On this side" instead of "on the other side." Just a simple Latin root. Does he have a better word? Or does he just feel like a word existing is an attack just in itself? We have a word for "sky," does that mean we hate the sky? Or does that just mean the sky and the ground aren't the same thing?

@bstix @Provider oh god I hate it when I try to look something up and the only thing I can find is some awkward person going "so uh, you uh, click on this and then, uh, type uh that." Like why can't they just type somewhere in a blog or forum or something "type X in a console"?
