I don't commute with any tools. I have pubic transit options throughout my ride, so if I have a mechanical issue it's quicker and easier to lock up, catch a bus or train, and deal with it on my way home. I've only even needed to do this a handful of times in nearly a decade of commuting.
For weekend rides where I'm farther from reliable transit, I'll take a pump, tubeless plugs, innertube, multitool, zipties, and quicklink tool+extra links.
I thought DS9 had some great time travel episodes tbh. Past Tense and The Visitor I think are top tier episodes, plus some fun antics between Far Beyond Stars (if that counts as time travel) and Trials and Tribble-ations.
I've use swype on mobile for probably about a decade. I find it's way faster than clicking individual keys on a touchscreen. but to think it would be faster than a physical keyboard is wild to me!

I find downvotes very useful to make sure hateful or otherwise harmful content doesn't rise to the top, and I think that outweighs people overusing it where they disagree. That being said, the nice thing about federation is that I can just find another instance if y'all don't want it.
