Norway. It depends, but you'd probably be served a cup of hot water with a box of assorted tea bags.

I did say I was a Norwegian author, I don't know what else to tell you. Sorry.

So far I've written a trilogy of science fantasy comedy graphic novels with an illustrator friend of mine.

I haven't started my next project yet, so I feel it's hard to say what's my perfetred topic or genre. Something that goes through my work, I think, is self-empowerment. Learning what you're worth, what you know, and using it to your advantage.

I like writing science fantasy, but I'm not sure I'll write it again soon.

Hello! Markus here. I'm a Norwegian author who chose this instance because it seemed to be an interesting place for writing and reading.

I'm honestly not much of a reader, though I'm trying to change that.

I write stuff in Norwegian on my other socials, but you can find me on both mastodon and bookwyrm.

Do you have any tricks to keep up motivation when writing?

As an example, one thing I do is write whatever I have an idea for at the moment, regardless of whether I've written any of the text before or after.

I used to believe I had to figure out a lot more stuff before I could start writing "properly", but it caused me to lose the motivation since I never got to that point.

Writing whatever is in my head at the moment allows me to get going, and fuels me to keep going even after the immediate idea has been brought to paper.

A glass of water or some sort of fizzy lemonade (sprite, 7 up, etc) are my go-tos.

Though I wouldn't say there's any intent behind my choice of beverage. I don't do coffee / tea because I don't drink hot beverages after work, which is when I do all my writing.
