That's why it says "most reasonable conclusion." If all of these religions have the same level of evidence of their existence, all have people who are certain that their religion is real and all others are false, and they all claim to be the "truth" then what's most reasonable?

Obviously it's possible that any given religion is correct about the world, but if you ask me which is more probable: that every human religion is wrong except the 1 that is correct, or that every human religion is wrong? I think I agree with the original quote

I also imagine you prep very differently for an 8 day mission vs a 6 month mission. In terms of physical fitness, trainings, family life etc.

Blowing exhorbitant amounts of cash every time a politician takes an anti-fascist Israel stance isn't a sustainable strategy

I want to agree with you on that, but it's pretty clear that promoting fascism is at least in the short-term very profitable. Plus the money they spend ousting anti-Isreal politicians means they are more likely to get US Military money, so they spend less on their own military, which frees up funds in order to... influence US politics. I don't like it, but so far it appears to be an effective strategy

American tax forms have an "other income" field. That's where you can report any money you've made not covered by the other fields including any ill gotten gains. That section doesn't require you to list a source, and even if it did nobody expects you to list "$7,800 - meth sales, $32,200 - crack sales, $50,000 - robberies". You'd just say "Other income - $90,000"

The logic being that if the government never gives you the opportunity to pay taxes on something, then they can't charge you with tax evasion. Plus there's a lot of money in crime! If the US can get a piece of that pie they will!

Finally, the IRS is an already underfunded organization and contrary to the popular narrative, is very easy to work with. If you make a genuine good faith effort to pay your taxes and they find issues, an agent will work with you to resolve it. They'll set up payment plans, defer payments, and more if you're cooperative. All this is to say that reporting people for crimes besides tax ones and terrorism (the only one they're legally required to report to outside agencies) just makes their job harder, so they don't

A Wells Fargo spokesperson told Bloomberg that the company "holds employees to the highest standards and does not tolerate unethical behavior."

I mean the jokes write themselves

When someone links to a community if you open the post and then follow the link it works fine. If you're browsing with cards and try to follow the link from the card without opening the actual post it attempts to open the link in a browser which fails because the link is not the full URL. It would be nice if clicking the link would take me to that community on that instance, which is what it does when you open the post and click the link

I saw this movie and I don't think she was meant to be poor, she was supposed to be a member of the working class compared to everyone else wasn't working class. She's a high end escort on an island retreat with the most famous chef in the world, I somehow don't think she charges $40 for some dome. The head chef is also clearly not a poor person, but is still working class. That distinction was kind of the entire point of the movie

Science actually figured this one out. Beavers raised in captivity when exposed to a speaker playing river noises will cover it up with as much stuff as possible to hide the noise. So it's the noise they have an issue with

Ah yes, suddenly everyone cares about where money is going when discussing something they dislike.

The thing about diversity and inclusion is that there are a lot of systemic barriers that people don't see until they go looking for them. People who live with disadvantages learn to adapt to them and frequently don't vocalize them to avoid being a burden. Contrary to conservative narrative, these offices do more than promote affirmative action. These offices examine historical architecture to make them more accessible to the handicapped, proactively identify/resolve problems for university brands, provide funds and support to clubs, and help with employment opportunities for students.

Will the closure of these offices immediately create problems for campuses? Probably not. Will there be other issues that pop up that these departments exist to prevent? Almost certainly

That and NASA is a very safety conscious organization. So they want to overestimate everything and include way more than they need. So when she said a couple per day you can round that to 5 for safety, then considering it's a 6 day mission they want to include triple the amount of needed supplies which means 18 days worth. 18*5=90 which is pretty close to 100 so let's round up again. Plus tampons are a useful first aid tool, especially in zero gravity. You shove some into an open wound and it'll prevent blood from spilling all over the very sensitive equipment. Does a woman need 100 tampons for 6 days? Of course not, but she wasn't going to spend a week in the mountains, she was going to space, so the safety precautions were much more stringent
