AFAIK Gitea incorporated as a for-profit (which was supported), but there was some perceived(not intended to throw shade on any side here, just keeping it neutral) shady-ness from the perspective of the community. You can read more here in the open letter: https://gitea-open-letter.coding.social/

The streaming services I do pay for are mostly music, or smaller stuff I want to support.

  • Spotify
  • Roon (not really a streamingservice, but it lets me stream my music?)
  • Nebula
  • Youtube premium
  • Draken film (Swedish streaming service for art/independent film)

I'm thinking about grabbing a Deezer or Tidal as well, as they integrate very well with Roon

A lot of good tips here, but you should have a look at Endless Sky! Really cool space game

What script are you using to mass edit? Even if they revert it, I would like to try.

I very actively followed news and politics a couple of years ago, and had been doing that for a long time. One day I just got completely fed up, and stopped. And holy shit, I've been so much happier and harmonious since then. Strongly recommend, 5/7

The only thing I can think of would be Roon. Some drawbacks though. It's proprietary and it's a paid service. It's very, very good for playing and streaming local music though. They put a lot of work in to their metadata, and do have recommendations in place. You can also get artists/songs/albums like this. There's no curated lists yet, but AFAIK it's in the pipeline.

I use it for all my local music. Both at-home and outside streaming work great. There's still some work for them to do with tagging more obscure styles correctly, like Future funk.

Hello from kbin ^^
But yes, totally agree. I really like the atmosphere here. I've been keeping tabs on Fediverse ever since Matrix started becoming a thing, but this was the push I needed to get into it. And in many ways it feels like the internet of old, before we all consolidated to huge social media sites. But better. I like it.
