Certain parts of the US (typically further southeast) anything over like 5% is exclusively in ABC Stores, a completely separate building and company from grocery stores.

They definitely did do that with Chase a couple of times.

Being born in 2000 would make you 23 years old today… which means you could feasibly have graduated college by then. So maybe less weird than you think.

I mean, is it discriminative in the purest sense of the word? Yes. But people discriminate against people as intimate partners for way shallower reasons than their gender identity and it’s considered acceptable. Think height, weight, muscle mass, sizes of various body parts. Is it discriminatory? Technically. But it’s not a hate crime any more than the other reasons I listed above are in the context of choosing an intimate partner.

Not to mention one big factor that’s important to some people: the ability to have children. As of when I posted this comment, the only trans people who can have children are the ones born with a female reproductive system who haven’t had it surgically removed. This does not make any trans people less valuable as people (thinking that would be transphobic), but it does make them incompatible as intimate partners for people who do wish to have children. At least at the time this comment was posted. I’d love for this comment to be invalidated by new medical breakthroughs at some point in the future!

Not a fan for several reasons. Namely the Chromium base and the weird crypto stuff. Also I wasn’t asking for solutions to the cancerous ads, I was making a snarky comment about the site while asking where the OP got the negative vibes from, which I didn’t get when I read it.

I do on PC, but I do most of my Lemmy Browsing on my phone.

Did this article get edited or something? I didn’t get much of anything of substance in that article at all, positive or negative, amidst the cancerous amount of ads.

Peter Dinklage didn’t actually post this. The original picture is of a family who let a three year old decorate a tree. Someone took that picture, made the Peter Dinklage account and posted this posing as him. Allegedly. I think it’s kinda funny, but with that background info maybe in poor taste.

This is exactly how I feel about DK64. Except I’m aware that I’m delusional and nostalgic and would not leave a recommendation for it lol

I do go for YouTube premium but that’s my primary source of entertainment nowadays and it does result in more money in my favorite content creators’ pockets (apparently more than ad-based revenue according to some sources at least). Plus YouTube music is included in that and is actually quite good.

Yeah TOTK story was better in that you’re unraveling a mystery instead of just seeing stuff that already happened. Technically the stuff in TOTK also “already happened”, and mechanically it’s pretty much identical, but imo the way it’s framed makes it much more interesting and compelling. I think the key is you’re seeing these events in order to uncover new information, whereas BOTWs flashbacks didn’t really give you any useful information, just filled in the details of a story you already had the cliff notes for.
