For those who don't know this is Lingua Ignota. I guess she's releasing her next album under a new name.

There's so much I want to mention but I've managed to narrow it down to a few things.

My dad is a big fan of Yes so here's a track that I heard a lot when I was a kid and still love today.

Roundabout - Yes

As an adult I've made some effort to dig into the stuff I missed out on from previous decades. I recently "discovered" Lou Reed and love everything he's done.

Walk on the Wild Side - Lou Reed

And finally I want to bring up Brian Eno's contributions to ambient music. No specific track but I love his albums Another Green World and Music for Airports.

I think you're right about them falling off around 97 or so. But I think American Idiot in 2004 was considered a comeback for them. Sure they became more mainstream with some of those singles but like said in the daily challenge thread I was 12 and they were awesome to me at the time.

This community is welcoming of all alternative music. To me that means anything outside the mainstream and this certainly checks that box. If you don't like something in the future please just down vote and move on.

So I was born in 92 and some of my early music exposure was the 90s alternative and pop music my older sisters were into. One CD that my sister would play a lot was Everclear's So Much For the Afterglow. I always liked the title track because of the choral intro transition into the punk sound.

So Much for the Afterglow - Everclear

And then I was 12 when Green Day's American Idiot came out so I was really into that for a while. My favorite track being the 9 minute epic Jesus of Suburbia.

This is very nice. I know I've listened to her before but I'm not sure I've given her proper attention. I think I'll give her another shot.

When Angel Olsen's 2019 album All Mirrors came out I had this song on repeat.

Chance - Angel Olsen

And here's another. Radiohead is one of my most listened to bands probably of all time. Here's one my favorite songs from my favorite album.

Nude - Radiohead

That's a great way of putting it. It's devastating and honestly difficult to listen to. But maybe someone needs to hear it so that's why I posted it

Oh I had no idea he died. That's really sad

Right and then City Escape comes on and blows your mind again. And then your find out that it's basically one guy doing everything but the drums and your mind is blown a third time.
