These stubs have only been out in a pypi package for about 2 months so many people do not know about them yet.

Proterra posted losses of $244 million in the first quarter of the year compared to a loss of $50 million in the same period last year. The company acknowledged its history of losses and admitted during its first quarter results it may not achieve profitability in the future.

Wow, that's a lot.

I'm a little surprised by the reaction to this idea (I assume downvotes mean people want the park instead).

There is a pretty nice park by the city hall just down the road that I assume attracts most of the visitors.

Having 220 more housing units right next to downtown means probably 400 or more people with walking distance to enjoy it. Seems like a win to me.

Apparently this redevelopment has been going on since 2010. Their Wikipedia page has a section on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence,_South_Carolina#Downtown_revitalization

It looks like there are about 100 different feeds to choose from.

For reference, it looks like Greenville County gets about 4,000 new housing units a year. So this is 2% of them for this year. (source)

Robin explains that vacations are similar to death because you temporarily give up large parts your routines and habits that make you who you are.

Also, on his vacation the average age of the other vacationers was very old.

It's working for me now.

Things I thought were interesting:

  • The Morgan Square Initiative: the pedestrianization of a block of downtown Spartanburg.
  • "The Dan": A plan to build 50 miles of multi-use paths in Spartanburg. Has received a $23 mil grant from the federal government for the first 14 miles.

I'm posting from the mobile app right now. I can't seem to login through the browser. Anyone else experiencing that?

When leaders are selected for status rather than management skills, accountability is counter-productive.

And status may be an important functional component to leadership, because subordinates can follow high status individuals out of admiration instead of feeling dominated.
