No, they were leaving the EU, not visiting it. To be fair, the queen did go for the first time in a long time.
Shotgun approach gets some bites and is cheap per ad. Targeted approach is more expensive to do and for advertisers tonsay for. However, its more effective. If they could all be targeted well, they wouls
Oh, that might work. If it restores container association, it should do what we need. Thanks for that.
That and because the republicans will keep claiming they want to raise taxes and peopke dont like being taxed. Does it matter that its a tax increase that only affects the wealthy? No, as they too are a temporarily embarrassed millionaire.
I do agree that capital income and earned income should be treated equally, but the politics of that make it more difficult.
It might have been better to reduce the higher income tax by an equivalent amount to match a higher rate, so that the overall tax take is roughly similar, somewhere in the middle, but then shed be accused of helping billionaires.
I'm a bit hopeful for the USA at the moment. Hopefully it doesn't all go to crap.
As a European, now Australian, I'm not enamoured with compulsory voting. Its good in that it prevents the kind of polarised politics of the USA, where extreme views win votes as they encourage fringe elements to Vite and those in the middle not to. However, it also makes us very susceptible to advertising and propaganda as more low information voters make up the voting blocs.
It likely resonates with many women who get spoken over by men a lot. It doesn’t matter if they are in a position of authority, or an expert, or the boss. They have a vagina, you see, so cannot really be in charge.
I don’t think it’s a great slogan and comes across as rude, rather than collaborative, but I can understand why some like it.
I think a large portion of lemmy is too focused on making lemmy popular. Fake engagement and posts that nobody cares about don’t create engagement. Instead, more focus on just enjoying lemmy would ironically lead to better posts and discussion. Likewise, people post the same articles to the same communities seeking engagement. It leads to dupilication which waters down the discussion, ironically, also leading to less engagement. I think federalised communities, as has been discussed would be a good solution. However, it strikes me that they don’t want to miss out on karma, for some reason. So, short term gain, for long term hassle of multiple posts. If some of the most prolific posters posted to the most relevant community and cross posted elsewhere, then maybe communities would coalesce more.
Its already too late for them. The idea would be to scare future jurors. Its not like hell only face one jury.
Anyone calling for doxxing should be tracked down and arrested like the terrorist they are.
Doing stuff with friends, undocumented.
If its pudding, use your fingers though.
