Even for tiny, tiny social media platforms like the fediverse, the current propaganda/misinformation campaign is tailor-made for the expected audience.
E.g., on Facebook it might be enough to post AI slop depicting Trump as a saint. Here, that won't fly. You have to understand that a lot of lefties and educated people reside here, so you just have to point the undecided to a third party. Maybe you're not even after the actual undecided, spreading FUD is usually good enough. And a healthy dose of "both sides"!

Of course, it's vital to omit the fact that FPTP systems always devolve into two-party systems (a fact well understood), and you're good to go. Easy rubles probably.

Since you already complained about the wrong vocabulary, I can continue with my lurking ways.

Adobe Software got so shitty, e.g. their UI elements look like garbage. Pixelated circles/buttons etc. Photoshop stability is shaky at best.
At least on my laptop at work. I stopped using that EaaS (Enshittification as a Service) for private projects.

We have one of the worst rates of home ownership in DE, compared to the rest of EU: Page is in german but the graph is pretty much self-explanatory.
But that can't be the sole reason, because the home ownership rates are actually better in the east than in the west. Hmm, during the Cold War, the former GDR actually had incredible child care. Even smaller companies were often required to have some sort of Kindergarten and other support for parents. Maybe this is still remembered by today's potential parents, and - like someone said ITT - parents have it hard enough already.

Fun fact: This was explained to me (in High School...) because "the enemy" wanted to indoctrinate children at a very young age because communism... I didn't even had to ask, that came immediately when the then GDR was discussed as part of the official curriculum.

I'd like to humbly disagree: Quality and quantity matters, a lot.
Huffing paint thinners is a bad idea obviously.

Yeah, I'm not discussing the article further after checking your post history.

Just one little tidbit of information for you: The sentences at the start on a rather lenghty article, usually set in a different typeset, is called "synopsis". I know I know, I was like "wooaaah" when I learned that >30 years ago.
