Oh I wasn’t saying they weren’t bad people, cause that’s fuckin bad if true, just that nothing about them looks like they’re the bad guys

I think one of the unique things about being a millennial is we are more adapted to having a lot of technology in our lives than gen x, but we also grew up with less surveillance and have watched it blow up, so we experience more paranoia than gen z. Hence the focus on privacy and FOSS. I know a few gen z’s and they have all lightly mocked me for not using Tik Tok/Snapchat “because of privacy, right?” Not that all gen z’s don’t care, but when you grow up under constant surveillance it’s hard to give a fuck, lack of privacy is the norm.

Are you using an app? I can still read comments/messages after they’re marked as read, using Voyager

Very interesting. I wonder what their metric was for determining it doesn’t work. Anecdotally, I use phenylephrine HCl alone and find it keeps me clear most of the time, but not always. I also have to be well hydrated or it actually makes me even more stuffed. Maybe the inconsistency is why they reached this verdict? Maybe I’ve just been experiencing a placebo effect?

I am American, but my favorite author is Argentinian: Samanta Schweblin. Four out of five of her works have been translated to English but you can easily find the original Spanish texts. Distancia de rescate (Fever Dream), Kentukis (Little Eyes), Siete casas vacías (Seven Empty Houses), and Pájaros en la boca y otros cuentos (Mouthful of Birds) are the ones I’ve read (in English) and can strongly recommend. Her books are often disturbing in some way, with stream of consciousness/hallucinatory narration. She dives into little moments in people’s lives and explores their humanity.
