Maybe just my experience:

Not sure why there's so much confusion over the use of woman vs. female. To my mind it's

"Alice is a woman, she is a female friend", not "Alice is a female, she is a woman friend".

(But even if you want to say 'woman friend', you'd then have to 'women friends' for the plural)

The 'pesto' one is a webm, not a webp. It works if you convert it:

Edited to remove an iffy community.

I don't always know the terms, and I'm unlikely to pick up on it if it's in a non-English language, so please leave a comment if you see a community that's suspicious in some way. I'll remove it from the list and add it to the 'filters' for future runs.

No markdown inside spoiler tags will be likely be an issue for other posts too. (EDIT: found one)

As for Trending Communities I was mainly trying to use the tags to create an expandable section, like this:

But what Connect does (blocking all the text) isn't technically wrong, so it's understandable if you don't want to change it. Auto-TLDR bot often uses the tag for the same effect, but maybe we should both wait for a new, more appropriate Markdown feature, rather than (ab)using the one for spoilers.

Okay. Have removed spoiler formatting. On desktop and Jerboa they look like nice Tildes.net-like "Details" markdown, which is what I wanted really, but I'll wait to see if Lemmy ever implements something like that.

(Voyager and Sync just ignore the spoiler formatting, so I thought that's the worst that would happen,)

The current plan is to merge these lists together, so it'll be one list per day that'll look like: https://enterprise.lemmy.ml/post/417461 and won't dupe communities. So this post is the last one this bot will make, and we'll be back to a single 8AM GMT (ish) update by the bot at feddit.nl

(https://enterprise.lemmy.ml is non-federated test instance, so the links on that post aren't clickable really - I just mentioned it to demonstrate the format).

The current thinking is to retire the separate Active Users list and combine it with this one, partly 'cos they're feeding into other quite a bit and causing a lot of duplication.

The combined list for today would look like https://enterprise.lemmy.ml/post/417461

(note: https://enterprise.lemmy.ml is a test instance that's typically non-federated, so you probably won't be able to see a local version)

Oh, okay. I'll leave 'Previous Entries' in then, but I might collapse it under a spoiler tag so the whole post doesn't look too unwieldy (I know not all clients handle spoiler tags, but that's a separate problem)

It's possible, yes. I'm thinking it might be an idea to replace 'Previous Entries' on the Subscribers list with 'Active User Growth' because I'm not sure that section is of much interest to people who view the lists everyday.

I've not done anything about 'Active Users' for the NSFW version of this Community, so I'll experiment with a combined list there first, and see what it produces.
