Depends on Load. Realistically, one of the used "Mini PC's" from Lenovo or HP with an i5 and integrated graphics should be decent for a couple of concurrent streams. They are pretty cheap on ebay. You could even get 3 or 4 and cluster them in some form. But most SBCs won't work too well since transcoding needs a decent GPU of some sort.

I think having your account tied to an instance without an option to move is a huge issue. Now I'm still dependent on the instance owners rules and willingness/ability to keep it up. Just like reddit oranzy other centralized network. Accounts need to be movable including history and linkage to posts. Same goes for communities. We are just hyper fragmenting now. Communities need to.be able to span instances tobincrease performance and uptime as well as resiliency.

Jerboa works fine for me. The overall experience and peoeple are nice enough. We just have technicalities to iron out.

I'm not sure if this is a KDE or Arch thing, but it's kind of annoying. I just set up a fresh install of arch with latest Plasma. I use the wayland session. After having the Session locked for some time or have the PC in standby, unlocking the session will lead to kwin reastarting/crashing. Since this is wayland, this also kills all with it.

Any ideas what it might be or how to troubleshoot? I'm not getting any other errors and the system runs fine otherwise.
