I was testing something and noticed that reddthat.com isn't on the dropdown instance list during login any more. What gives?

My already soul-sucking job that has me carving out 9 hours a day just announced that going forward we’re supposed to be dedicating an extra half hour and that this will be rigorously enforced with a clock-in/clock-out system (we didn’t have one before), and I’m livid. Naturally, there’s no mention of a pay increase or any such because apparently “this is what we should’ve been doing all along”, even though we’re paid peanuts and there’s next to nothing by way of incentives or anything of the sort.

I worked my way up here precisely so I wouldn’t have to be subject to this sort of Big Brother scrutiny and this is just beyond annoying.

/end rant

Comments don't load/take a while to load sometimes because the architecture is still laggy and servers take time to talk to each other and sync information - this is one of Lemmy's biggest sticking points so far, but it comes with the territory of having multiple decentralized servers constantly exchanging info between them.

It'll be particularly egregious for a while because of the huge influx of people but eventually, with a bunch of stability updates and centralization for the important stuff, the experience should pick up in due time, hopefully.

Whoa this is really amazing!

Probably use both, tbh. Lemmy has a ways to go in terms of the smoothness of the whole experience BUT I'm sure it's going to get way better, and at some point I look forward to being able to drop Reddit almost entirely.

Black Box Down is winding down at the end of this month, which sucks. Are there any other similar podcasts that analyze aviation incidents?

But only if you do it from their home instance (lemmy.world in this case), on other instances it just shows their comments

Is blackout.photon-reddit.com down?
