Today I setup a #Peertube instance to learn more about it, particulary to try live streaming from a mobile app. It works great. Can someone with an opinion help me understand situations where it might be better to live cast in #Owncast instead Peertube, and vice versa?

My #GenZ daughter asked for our old pocket size digital #camera. Apparently, all the cool kids are using them.

I assumed it was because the cool people suddenly discovered the importance of retro #privacy, controlling and storing your images offline, beyond the reach of content hungry AI. She assured me that privacy had nothing to do with it.

Can someone explain this to me like I'm 23? Why is my old camera suddenly cool?

So the #Delta/#KLM debacle continues. I can't depart #AMS for #MSP for another 26 hours. Knowing this now, we're moving hotels and are finally free to explore the great city of #Amsterdam. First stop the #Hermitage !!

And I think Delta is going to buy me some new clothes, some meals, and certainly my hotels.

#KLM screwed up our connection to #Minneapolis via #Delta, and now have 28 hours at #AMS.
There are worse cities to be delayed in.
