Thanks for the heads up. I just cancelled my subscription. I had premium but $23 per month is ridiculous.

Tell us you're not a sysadmin without telling us you're not a sysadmin.

We just recently purchased Mail Assure with Cove Data Protection from N-able to achieve a similar goal, but unfortunately I don't have any experience with it yet to advise if it is any good. It is an option though.

Dell offers no OS laptops and desktops but sadly only for business customers. Consumers have to buy the Windows adware. You sometimes see the enterprise stuff for sale second hand with no OS too. The only specific laptop I know that consumers can buy with no OS is the Framework Laptop, which looks awesome.

Thanks for the reply! After I wrote that I had another look at the context in which you posted your comment and realized I had misunderstood your meaning. That was why I deleted it. I can definitely appreciate that a very large instance will have higher operating costs and that people shouldn't be mooches. Cheers!

This post was the first I heard of it too. I would have liked to have been counted.

If you happen to read this, Mr. Stallman, I wish you you a swift and full recovery. We need more in this world like you. Thank you for all that you have done for the world and your tireless advocacy of Free Software!

You're right, and anyone who thinks otherwise should check out Revolution OS. He speaks about it in detail.

That's my understanding as well. The current initiative is far more limited in scope, and pays back students who were defrauded by scam schools.

I agree with you wholeheartedly! I just moved into this town a year ago and there is a lot of room for improvement, but also some good to be said about some of the local planners. I really need to get more involved.

...but surely this is something most of us hate to see. I walk on this street near where I work a couple times per day. Granted, the sidewalk isn't much to speak of, but cars park like this all the time. Sometimes people park utility trailers or campers covering the entire sidewalk. If I see someone doing it I will let them know they should leave at least enough room so someone in a wheelchair wouldn't have to go out in the road, and this has been fairly effective, but for most this seems to be acceptable behavior around here.

I plan to move an external DNS server to a hosted VPS in the near future. I would appreciate advice on VPS specs for this purpose, or an other helpful feedback from others who have done this before. I've used a lot of low end boxes to host web services, and would like to do that with this project as well but don't want to under spec it. It will be used regularly by around 300 users.
