I'm sorry to hear it's not working. I don't have any experience flashing these drives to be honest. I've never owned an Asus drive either. The LG ones definitely seem to be preferred however. I wish I could be more helpful.

You need a specific Intel CPU that actually supports the DRM on those discs. I think playback only worked on Windows as well. I rip those discs to play them back on my Arch machine. That being said, I'd still expect the drive to read the discs. Have you looked into flashing the firmware of your drive?

As someone who works in the industry, always assume there is mold. Always assume equipment isn't cleaned as often as it should be. Always assume everything is gross.
